Get ready to grow, connect, and celebrate at the 2025 D50 Toastmasters Annual Spring Conference! Mark your calendars for May 9-10, 2025, as we gather for a weekend filled with inspiration, education, and celebration at the Davidson-Gundy Alumni Center on the UTD Richardson campus.
The Conference Kicks Off with the District Tall Tales Contest!
We’re starting the conference weekend with a night of fun and entertainment! Join us on Friday, May 9, 2025, for the District Tall Tales Contest at:
St. Barnabas Presbyterian Church
1220 West Belt Line Road, Richardson, TX 75080
This is your chance to experience the creativity and humor of our members as they compete in this light-hearted and imaginative contest. Then, get ready for a full day of learning and celebration at the main conference on Saturday, May 10, 2025.
A New Approach to Conference Pricing
We’ve made some changes to our conference pricing this year to ensure we can continue offering a high-quality experience for everyone. In previous years, clubs paid a flat fee while members covered the cost of their meals. However, this pricing model is no longer sustainable, so we’ve made some adjustments to it.
This year, clubs can still support their members by contributing a $100 flat fee, which reduces the registration cost for attendees. Members will still be responsible for purchasing their own meals. Meal prices will vary, and are as follows:
- Up to $17 for breakfast
- Up to $23 for lunch
- Up to $45 for dinner

This new structure allows us to keep the conference affordable while still providing exceptional value. We appreciate your understanding and support as we continue to elevate our annual conference experience.

This year, you’ll have the opportunity to attend three educational sessions designed to help you grow in communication, leadership, and personal development. We’ve created three unique tracks to help you customize your experience:

Designed for those looking to expand their leadership potential and take on greater responsibilities.

Branding for Impact: Elevate Your Leadership Presence – Strengthen your personal and professional brand as a leader.

For those looking to strengthen their resilience, mindset, and overall growth.
Leadership Book Exchange – Connect with other leaders and discover valuable books to fuel your growth.
Leadership Escape Experience (Add-On) – Test your leadership, communication, and teamwork in a fun and interactive escape room challenge. (This is an add-on session during the third session block.) A nominal charge.
Vision Board Session (Add-On) – Design a vision board to capture your future goals and ambitions. (This is an add-on session during the third session block.). A nominal charge.

You’ll have the opportunity to attend three educational sessions throughout the day. We encourage you to select your sessions in advance to make the most of your conference experience.
A Garden Party Celebration: Honoring Our DTMs and the International Speech Contest
The day doesn’t end with education! After a full day of learning, we’ll gather for a memorable Garden Party Celebration featuring:
- A phenomenal keynote
- Dinner and fellowship with fellow Toastmasters.
- Recognition of our newest Distinguished Toastmasters (DTMs).
- The District 50 International Speech Contest, where the best of the best will compete for a chance to advance to the World Championship of Public Speaking.
This evening is designed to celebrate YOU and your growth — and we can’t wait to toast to all the incredible accomplishments within our district!

Every year, the district aliases seem to get spoofed and emails are sent out and made to look like they come from myself or other leaders. Please know that I nor any of our other leaders ask for money or send cryptic emails. If you are in doubt, please reach out to me directly in a separate email and confirm. We do our best to ensure this never happens, however it does and happened just recently.
Spring is in the air and I can’t wait to see you all at the District 50 Spring Conference! I know that the team is hard at work to put this amazing event together, for YOU our members!
