RISE with What’s Up Wednesday!
What’s in a word?
This week’s Word of the Week is Jovial: Adjective. jo·vi·al /ˈjōvēəl/. Definition: cheerful and friendly; full of happiness and joy. In a sentence: “The jovial atmosphere at tonight’s meeting helped everyone feel at ease and ready to give their speeches.”
Outstanding Club Officer! Could this be you?
It’s that time of year when we appreciate and nominate the officers in our clubs. That’s right! We want to recognize and hear from our clubs why their officers are amazing. Club officers many times can be the unsung heroes in our clubs. The button is posted on the home page and you can go HERE to fill out the form. Get this in as quickly as possible! All nominations are due by Monday, October 1st. Don’t wait, nominate!
D50 is Looking Fresh!
The D50 Homepage has a new look and feel! Go check it out at D50tm.org.
Dues! Dues! Dues!
That’s right, it’s time to say “YES” to yourself and get those due’s paid. If the self-pay portal is not active for you to renew, please work with your Treasurer and get renewed for the next 6 months. Heck, you can renew for a year now if you like!
Incentives and Promotions!
You’ve been looking for them and we’ve got ‘em! Please check out the newly formatted Incentives Page on the D50TM.org site. There is something for every club! Questions, please let the Trio know.
Congratulations To the Trained Officers!!
We had 46 clubs get all 7 officers trained and 73 clubs who got 4+officers trained. A huge shout out to our Club Officers who continued to invest in their journey. The District had a total of 634 officers credited with training, making this a high success of 85.2% of officers trained! Thank you so much to TLI Chair, Brad Johnson and Deputy Program Quality Director, DaWane Wanek for their dedication and efforts to get everything pulled together. Also, the District is grateful to our wonderful Area and Division Directors for reminding our officers of this goal and its importance to continued success!
Be the Spark!
Pledge to bring a Guest! Honor Ralph Smedley’s vision by sharing the Toastmasters Journey. The trio members all pledged to bring a guest this year, what will your pledge be?
RISE to Distinguished!
This year, the District Team is going to be a Spark. Our goal is to return this great District of ours to Distinguished status. We cannot do it without you, our members. We’ve created incentives to help you achieve membership growth, education growth that you can apply to a Path Level and so much more. As I continue to connect with you, I am reminded that this is a very achievable goal. When we work together, have clear goals set, and can meet each other and clubs where we are at magic happens. I am in awe of you all committing to helping each other. I see it on our Social Media posts, I hear it online and at in-person events. Don’t stop. Keep sharing, brainstorming, and making your clubs what you want them to be. I believe we can do this. I believe that our members will stay, and our clubs will continue to RISE and grow!
Continue to RISE!
