What’s Up Wednesday!
RISE with Integrity. Respect. Service. Excellence!

“Momentum is whatever your attitude determines it to be.” — Lou Holtz
TLI – It’s a Wrap!

Every Toastmasters year, we ask our clubs, members, volunteer trainers, and TLI team to step up to the plate and learn, attend, and engage. We know that it is not always easy to get away from life and join in on this request, but we also know the payoff is great! District 50’s TLIs are complete and if you still need or would like to get trained, you can work with other Districts and let the TLI team know your attendance.
The dashboards are updated, so if you believe something was missed, just send an email to TLI@D50tm.org and let the team know so they can make the adjustment.
Stats
- 509 offices trained
- 84 clubs with 4+ officers trained
- 71% of clubs will receive a DCP point for the year!
- 24 clubs with all 7 officers trained
THANK YOU!
To our TLI team who worked tirelessly to follow-up with volunteers, update the website, run reports and stats, and demonstrated every detail of our values, THANK YOU!
To our members who graciously volunteered to teach and collaborate with all of our district officers, THANK YOU, we can’t do this without you, ever!!

Prorated, the dues are just $10 monthly. This is cheaper than a Starbucks special coffee. Who needs all those calories? The payment deadline for Distinguished Club Program credit is March 31, 2025. Encourage all club members to renew today!
What’s in a word?

This week’s Word of the Week is Empower: Verb. Definition: To give someone the authority, confidence, or power to do something; to inspire and uplift others to take action. In a sentence: “Great leaders don’t just direct; they empower their teams to reach new heights.”
Challenge: This week, use “empower” in your speeches, table topics, or conversations. As leaders and communicators, we can empower others through our words, actions, and mentorship.
We’ve Got Momentum!
With so many moving parts and so much buzz taking place within our District, with planning the Youth Leadership Conference, Area and Division contests, Spring Conference, membership renewals, and everything else that our teams are working on at the moment; I want to just let you know how grateful I am for everyone who continues to volunteer, to step up and try something new, to take a chance, and lead with each other, for each other, in our District. Contest season is one of the biggest times when we need all hands on deck from role holders, judges, chief judges, and people who can donate their time. It takes a village, and I know that ours is strong and that we are on the RISE and THRIVING in the second half of this year. Continue to say yes, volunteer, and support each other, because we all matter and when we come together, nothing can stop our momentum!
RISEing with you,
Kimberly Ross, DTM
