MEETING PROPOSALS
PROPOSAL – DISTRICT LEVEL SPEECH CONTESTS
District 50 has not conducted fall speech contests. The District continues to conduct Spring Contests. Program Quality Director Shane Gilmore proposes one contest to be conducted in the fall and to continue conducting two contests in the spring.
PROPOSAL – DISTRICT SUCCESS PLAN
Similar to the Club Success Plan, Toastmasters International requires all Districts to complete a District Success Plan (DSP). The District Trio have collaborated on inputting the DSP’s core values, distinguished club goals, membership payments growth, club growth, training goals, and collaboration with the Regional Advisor; details include identifying strategies to build new clubs, strengthen existing clubs, and help members grow.
PROPOSAL – ANNUAL BUSINES MEETING FORMAT
District 50’s is required to conduct an annual vote for the format of how the annual business meeting will be conducted (virtual or hybrid).
